Humbled to be on WAN-IFRA's world wide Expert Panel

WAN-IFRA launches a world-wide panel consisting of 14 media experts. I am truly humbled to be on this team among such talented and amazing people. My experience is based in regional- and local newspaper companies and the specific challenges they face. I am grateful to have this opportunity to make my contribution to guarding the freedom of press and expression, and to help develop digital journalism into an independent business — that people demand and pay to be part of.

On the 25th of June I have the favor to travel to Taipei and participate in the yearly world congress. I am looking forward to meeting my fellow colleagues from all over the world.

WAN-IFRA derives its authority from its global network of 3,000 news publishing companies and technology entrepreneurs, and its legitimacy from its 60 member publisher associations representing 18,000 publications in 120 countries.

Since its foundation in 1948, WAN-IFRA has always been committed to fostering international business cooperation among publishers; sharing best practices in both business and technology; working as a representative trade body to elaborate and advance quality standards in the production workflow and business value chain; and engage with public authorities, institutions, and other trade bodies to promote press freedom and advocate for the independence of news media organizations.
